Peter Lindtner will hold a free lecture, Garden Plants for Honey Bees, April 30, 7:00 pm at Mandell Hall, rm 114, at the Delaware Valley University (formerly College).
Author of the book, Garden Plants for Honey Bees, Lindtner will share the results of more than 35 years of research combing his three passions, horticulture, apiculture and photography. Taken in the Southeastern and Delaware regions of Pennsylvania, his superb floral photographs are backed with botanical and common plant names as well scanned electron micrographs of pollen grains. A long-time beekeeper, Lindtner studied at the University of Delaware and Purdue University, where he gained Masters degrees in both Plant Science and Horticulture.
Books will be available for sale at $30 (cash only).

PBG will have a table at the 2015 Philly Farm and Food Fest, April 12, from 11am to 4pm. PBG President will also present one of The Fest talks.
Each year, Fair Food Philly and Pennsylvania Association for Sustainable Agriculture (PASA) team up to create an annual marketplace for farmers and local food producers. The Fest is also a fundraising event for Fair Food and PASA, with proceeds going to support a non-profit educational and technical assistance programs for food producers.
